At first glance, they don’t look Dutch because they all have the name Clark, but then it’s clear that the kids went on to marry other Dutch Americans. So I’m wondering if this is a mix of Dutch and English ancestors or if there was a name change at some point? I also noticed the last name Romine. I have the last name Remine in mine, and it’s an anglicized form of Remijnse or somesuch. Do you know more about that name Romine? Thanks for sharing! I do love that name Van Gelder.
